CLASSROOMS:

The Pre-Primary Section of RGHS is named as KIDSZONE. The classrooms are situated on the first floor of the school building. The hall of this section is bright and airy with a small stage. There is a large projector displayed to enhance audio- visual learning of concepts. The walls of the hall are decorated with tiles of the student’s favourite cartoon characters.
Each classroom is painted according to different themes and concepts that are taught under curriculum. The newly designed desk and benches are an added advantage to the class.

CURRICULUM:

The Pre-Primary section of the school followed the XSEED Curriculum for past 10 years, but this year we have introduced, ‘Little Mee’ an integrated approach to learning.This approach is easy to use and fun to implement. The ‘Little Mee’ Pre-school Programme caters to all the learning requirements in early years. It gives children opportunities to experience learning as a meaningful whole. By integrating subjects we help children build association between subjects on their own. They learn to see how the subjects “come” together in the real world.
The programme helps develop the cognitive, linguistic, logical intelligence, problem solving , social and emotional skills.
Some of the features of the programme are:-

* Concepts well integrated with the subjects
* Meaningful and attractive illustrations
* Adequate practice linked to concepts

STAFF:

The Pre-Primary section has two teachers per class. There is a healthy student teacher ratio of 20:1 . The teachers are well trained and every quarterly they are upgraded wherein they attend different workshops. They learn new teaching techniques and skills so as to give the best to the students. The maids of the Pre-primary section are also caring and hard-working.
